Located 4 km from the Zanoaga Ski Area and just a 2-minute drive from Bran Castle, Carpathian Log Home features a garden with gazebo and free usage of sauna. Free WiFi is available in all areas. The property has a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a dining area and a fireplace, as well as a furnished terrace. Free barbecue facilities are at guests´ disposal. High chair for children is available. Carpathian Log Home has a living room with 2 sofas and ceiling to floor windows with a view to the valley. All bedrooms have a private bathroom. Flat screen TV with cable channels is also provided. The stairs have children safety gate. In the attic area, guests can use fitness equipment for free. The closest restaurant is a 10-minute walk away and the supermarket is 2 km from the premises. Carpathian Log Home is your home away from home, your dream chalet hidden in the rolling Transylvanian hills, footsteps from the impressive Carpathian Mountains. Your neighbour is the famous Bran Castle, known as Dracula's Castle. The four bedrooms/four bathrooms chalet has a spectacular, unique architecture in Bran and Romania. The open plan day area is 10 meters high and has an amazing glass wall overlooking the valley bellow. It is truly breathtaking from every angle and corner of the house. Here you will gather with your friends/family and enjoy the intimacy of this spectacular villa. You'll always have the whole villa for yourself and your group, no other guests will be in the house. The 5 bedrooms chalet is the new addition, its architecture and style is identical to the 4 bedrooms chalet. The 5th ensuite bedroom is actually an independent, spacious flat with its own entrance, it is situated on the ground floor of the same building. The chalets are self catering. The access road to the property is steep and unpaved on the last 200m. Consider renting a 4wd Dacia Duster (cheap car), if you need to rent anyway. Safe parking spots 200 m down the road available in winter.
I'm a nature lover and a world traveler. I like to experience the authentic when traveling, so hotel stays are not for me. I've decided to share my beautiful chalet in the mountains with the tourists and I'm happy I did it. It's quite rewarding when people understand you've let them in your home, not a regular hotel room. The chalets have been decorated with love and natural materials, for a relaxing, comfortable living. I trust you will find them as homey and warm as I do and you will want to come back sometime:) Interaction with Guests I have a studio arranged in the underground floor, with separate entrance. I might be there for a day or two during your stay, but this is not a rule. You will have complete privacy upstairs though. There are 2 dogs living onsite, in the yard. They are friendly and completely harmless.
Located 25 Km from Brasov and 190 Km from Bucharest, Bran represents both a historical place and a legend. Bran is the gateway between Transylvania and Valachia with one side lined by the Piatra Craiului Mountains and the other by the Bucegi Mountains. Bran hosts one of the most visited castles in Europe, the Dracula Castle, the source which inspired the most fascinating legend of the blood- shedding Count Dracula. Although the name of Bran is closely linked to that of the Bran Castle, the region is extremely rich in tourist attractions: the Moieciului Gorges, the Bucegi Mountains and Piatra Craiului, Pestera Dambovicioara, Cetatea Rasnovului (Rasnov Fortress), and also Brasov and the neighbouring Saxon fortresses from Prejmer and Harman. More distant sites can also be visited, such as: Peles Castle in Sinaia, the medieval fortress Sighisoara (UNESCO Patrimony), or Biertan, one of the biggest Saxon fortresses in Transylvania.
