Varanda do Castelo", is a charming apartment with lots of color and light, in a perfect symbiosis of art, comfort and modernity. In a vintage environment, stories are told and questions are thrown that allow you to relax and dream, set against a medieval castle. It is a house, cozy and well disposed, thought in the multiculturality, so that all that visit us feel unique and happy. We intend that in this house our guests feel as well, as if the space were yours. We have reformulated it with unique pieces, which we place in each space in a harmonious and challenging way. The "Balcony of the Castle" has many details and an invitation to relaxation and new experiences.This apartment, which we call "Varanda do Castelo", is a few meters from the magnificent Castle of Silves and all built historical heritage, but is also 300 m from the city center. It is a large, bright apartment of 100 m2 divided by two bedrooms, living room, bathroom, kitchen and two terraces. The rooms are equipped, with double bed one and the other with two single beds, that can be put together. The living room and dining area, or work area, if this is the case, is very pleasant and has in its extension a fantas
We are a couple (Rosário & António) who became hosts by chance. We started with an house that we inherited and with a colletion that was too interesting to keep - " Casa do jardim ". The experience was so interesting that we decided to extend it and in this way the "Varanda do Castelo"" was born. During our lifetime we had professions that allowed us to know and love our heritage, our culture, which is not difficult for those who enjoy music, painting, cinema, reading, and arts in general. To be with friends is another of our passions and like good Portuguese we do it around the table for enjoy what we cook with love for them.
The apartment "Varanda do Castelo" is located in a residential area, which was born in an old part of the city, where once there were cork factories. For this reason the building where it is located is called the Factory Building. We can say that in this area are many of the memories of a recent past of Silves, in a city with many cork factories and a whole associated social, political and economic history. The street designated by R. 1º de Maio reflects its history and past. In the street still exist many of the houses of the old residents, now inhabited by their relatives. On the other hand this apartment has quick and direct access to the city, to pedestrian walks, for those who like to walk or to practice another type of exercise. Within a radius of fifty meters, there are: cafes, pastry shop, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurant / takeaway, laundry, butcher, neighborhood grocery store, car workshop, florist, hairdresser. How to get around Silves, as our guests always say, is in the center of the Algarve, it has great accesses, including direct access to the highway. However it benefits from the fact that it is a small, very calm and safe city outside the most confusing ce
