Quinta Das Amendoas is in a rural area, but not far from the local shops, beautiful beaches, restaurants, cafes and night life. Quinta das Amendoas has a warm welcoming feel to it and I also have two dogs Izzy and Charlie who will always welcome guests, there also are three cats - Dave who is 17 years old, Lilly who is 10 and Treasure 2 years old, they are all very sweet! If you love animals then this is the place to come to!! ( please be aware that our pets have freedom to roam around the garden and pool area)!! Be aware that this is our home as well as 'our pets home', therefore our Izzy likes to socialise with our guests and loves playing with children around the pool area, she becomes their best friend and she is always sad to see them leave! If you are allergic to animals or you are not a great fan of animals or have a fear of animals then maybe this isn't the place to book your holiday accommodation! There is a large garden and small vineyard. The swimming pool is shared by all guests. Free WiFi is available.
Quinta das Amendoas is our home, it is not a formal hotel/hostel. The owner lives on site, therefore is always willing to help out in any way and at the same time respect your own 'space'. We first came to the Algarve in 2007, having moved from the UK permanently in 2016 I have lived here for the last 6 years, and have a good knowledge this locality and of the Algarve. I still do not speak Portuguese very well! English is my only language. Breakfast is NOT included in the villa 'OR' Annex.
Firstly, you will need a car to get around as although there are plenty of attractions and places to see , there is no public transport. The nearest beach is 3.5 kms from here in Carvoeiro, there you will find plenty of bars, restaurants, night clubs. Lagoa town has supermarkets, banks and a daily fresh food market. In Lagoa there is Slide and Splash water park, restaurants and cafes this is only 2kms from the property.
