I'm a former professional windsurfer and was born in Austria. Early in my career I moved to Ericeira to improve my wave riding skills. I was one of the first athlets to be sponsered by Red Bull. Being forced by injuries to end my sports career I stayed in Ericeira and started to promote tourism and surf holidays.

The Prime Oceanfront Apartment is a recently refurbished first floor apartment, elegantly decorated and has a unique oceanfront location. It has 3 bedrooms: one with 2 single beds, one with 2 extra large single beds (1.50m) and a lounge/bedroom with a chaise lounge to be transformed into 2 single beds. The latter is the chill area of the apartment with the chaise lounge, sofa bed and chairs facing the flat screen TV, with cable channels and Wifi for your entertainment. There's also a DVD player, so bring your kid's favorite shows along with your best surf movies. The open-space kitchen has a nicely sized eating area facing the Atlantic ocean. It extends onto a small terrace with barbeque and some small tables and chairs to enjoy Ericeira's epic sunsets. The bathroom is modernly styled and has a large walk-in shower (big enough for 2). The views are really amazing, you can see down south as far as to the Sintra mountains and up North up to the famous surfspots Ribeira d'Ilhas and Coxos.

Ericeira - often called the Portuguese Mecca of Surf - has become one of the best known surfing destinations in Europe. The town was honored as the first European surfing reserve due to the constant swells and excellent breaks its coastline offers. There are waves during the whole year, in winter even big wave riders find their ultimate challenge and in summer its never too small to throw an aerial 360. Besides of offering excellent conditions which attract more and more people each year, Ericeira has managed to remain its charm. Ericeira continues to be a typical South European fishermen village proud of its long history, which dates back to the Phoenicians and got its Charter in the 12th century. Ericeira is also famous for its gastronomy. On weekends mainly people from near Lisbon visit Ericeira's restaurants looking for fresh fish and shellfish. In summer Ericeira is a tourist resort of excellence. The water might be a bit colder than the Mediterranean and the climate a bit rougher, but the beaches, washed daily by Atlantic waves, offer cleanest water and unpolluted air rich in healthy mineral salts.
