An algarvian typical house with 3 floors, situated in the Nice And Picturesque Village of Alvor, with a magnificent view of the "Ria of Alvor" (riverside). Shops, bars, restaurantes and other amenities are about 2 minutes walking. The beach of Alvor is about 15 min. walking.

Although this ancient coastal village is now a very popular holiday location the one-ended narrow streets have restrained the developers from changing too much. Many of these streets now boast bars with live music and different types of restaurants but leading off from these there are still memories of the older fishing village. In the area there are a number of holiday resorts that feed these streets with tourists. The village is well located facing a natural lagoon "Ria de Alvor" opening onto the sea. The "Ria of Alvor" to one side the sea, to the other the liquid mirror of the vast estuary stretching inland, and between them a long, broad dune: this beautiful setting is the chosen nesting place of dozens of species of migratory bird.

The salt marshes also support an interesting variety of animal life, while the local fishermen still use traditional techniques to catch fish and gather shellfish. To explore this almost unknown facet of the Algarve by the diffuse light of dawn is to discover a world of total calm, creating memories that will last forever. (Boats can be hired in Alvor). There is a choice of a long open sandy beach or a number of small coves tucked under the cliffs. The 16th century Parish Church seems to be the only building that survived the earthquake of 1755 and has a prime example in its main doorway of the great craftsmanship of the "Manueline" era of architecture. .........................................................................................................................................................................................................
