## The space In front of you is the river Tejo, on the right you see Christo Rei and on the left, you find the famous Castello. The small lounge area, the table with four chairs and the awning make the terrace an extension of the apartment with a breathtaking panorama. You will therefore almost certainly spend many hours on the terrace. The apartment itself is modernly furnished and has a bedroom with a large double bed (180 m x 200 m) and good mattresses. In the small living room (passage room to the terrace) there is also a sofa bed so that one can also spend the night with a third person. There is also a TV with access to Netflix. The bathroom is modernly tiled and offers a view of the city from the shower. In the small kitchen, there is a fridge, a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, and two gas rings. My property will be professionally cleaned before your stay. ## Guest access You will have the whole place to yourself. We will provide you with the products needed for cooking and shower. ## The neighborhood Known as the district of palaces and embassies where diplomats and aristocrats reside, Lapa is one of Lisbon’s more refined areas. The steep hills, colorful 19th-century buildings, and cobbled streets make Lapa one of the most picturesque parts of the city. The area is home to the São Bento Palace, which houses the Portuguese parliament and is well worth a visit to see the beautiful neoclassical building. You can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the whole city from the Miradouro Amoreiras 360, which is an observation deck at the top of a modern shopping center. For a cultural and architectural marvel, visit the nearly 250-year old Basílica de Estrela church with its beautiful white facade and stunning dome. When it comes to finding a great place for a bite to eat, Lapa will certainly not disappoint. Though it’s hard to find, the brilliant Clube de Jornalistas is worth the effort. The creamy Brazilian-style shrimp-stew risotto and truffled black pork is a particular highlight. The snug and cozy Varina da Madragoa is well worth a visit for its quintessentially Portuguese cuisine. Former US President Jimmy Carter even chose to dine here. Finally, Doce Estrela is considered by locals to be one of the best pastry restaurants and takeaways in the city, though Boutique Doca and Cristal are also excellent and together make this area well renowned for its pastries. For an evening drink, try Paródia with its dark wood wall panels and velvet upholstery. ## Getting around You are 3 minutes away from the closest bus stop. You will find a taxi stop just in front of the building. The metro station near the property is Rato.
