Castle Apartment is located at aprox. a 3 min. walking distance of the main attractions of Guimarães [Praça de S. Tiago, Largo da Oliveira, Castelo de Guimarães, Paço dos Duques, C.C. Vila Flor, Plataforma das Artes e da Criatividade, Teleférico, etc.] and of the University of Minho. It has perfect 24h access, parking and it's street is served by the main city bus lines. In the near surroundings you'll find all commodities [bars, restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacies...]. The apartment has two bathrooms, a suite with double bed and private bathroom and another room with two single beds. There is also a living room with fireplace and a sofa that can be converted to a double bed and thus making the living room another sleeping room. There is also free Internet and WiFi connection and cable TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with ceramic hob, oven, microwaves, fridge, dishwasher and kitchenware. You will also find washing machine, iron and iron board.
Located in the 3rd floor of a 1980s building, Castle Apartment is a few meters away from the Sacred Hill, where the Castle of Guimarães and the Paço dos Duques de Bragança where built, and where the Portuguese Battle for Independence was fought in 1128. At aprox. a 3 min. walking distance you'll find not only the Historic Center [classified by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage site, and where the Praça de S. Tiago and Largo da Oliveira are located], but also the Toural, the Vila Flor Cultural Center and Platform for Arts and Creativity, some of the main attention points of the 2012 European Capital of Culture. The street where the apartment is located has 24h car access and parking, plus it is served by all the main city bus lines. It is a very quiet neighborhood, with bars, restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, grocery stores and pharmacies in the nearest surroundings. Bus Central Station and Train Station are at aprox. a 15 min. walking distance. Taxis may also be found within a 5 min. walking distance.
