Casa da Lila is at first sight a modest, typical Portuguese town house, but behind the front door a true gem is hidden. Situated in a charming cobbled street occupied mainly by Portuguese, it offers a superb view from three levels over Silves and surrounding area. On sunny days even Monchique and Foia, the highest point of the Algarve, can be seen from the highest terrace. The house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and has recently been completely rebuilt. The stylish and very nicely decorated interior has been compiled with the utmost care. Notable elements include the handmade Portuguese tiles and vintage furniture from top designers. Consideration was also given to modern technology: all areas feature fast and powerful Wi-Fi, all bedrooms have a SMART-TV and the living room has IP TV (internet television) and Raumfeld sound bar. Casa da Lila is a perfect destination for smaller groups who want to venture out during the day to explore all the beauty the Algarve has to offer, and to enjoy the sun set and spectacular views in the evening from one of the three terraces, holding a good glass of wine.

We are Herman and Angela and we're a Dutch-Brazilian couple. We fell in love with the Algarve a few years ago, decided to buy an old ruin in the town of Silves and decided to restore it to the highest standards and decorate it with special (vintage) furniture for us to enjoy. We recently decided to rent our beautiful house to anyone who shares our passion for interior design, architecture and of course the Algarve, its delicious food, great golf, beautiful beaches and above all, its fantastic people.

Silves was once the capital of the southern part of the Moorish kingdom and that’s still visible in the architecture. The cathedral, the Moorish castle and parts of the walls and towers are a relic of the era and reveal the rich history of Silves. If the stones could talk … The Romans have had a settlement here, of which the Roman bridge over the River Arade is the most important relic. In Silves you will find many restaurants, shops and cafes, a number of pleasant squares, old streets, a historical museum, a market hall and much more. Whether you love the sea, golf, fine dining, hiking or other outdoor activities, you can find it all in the Algarve. The beaches of the Algarve have been awarded numerous times as most beautiful in Europe and are among the top in the world. In addition, the Algarve boasts over 40 golf courses, of which 20 are within a 30-minutes’ drive from Casa da Lila. And good food?
