The Street Rua Diário de Notícias has this name due to the newspaper that for decades brought the news to the Portuguese, inhabitants of Lisbon and of those living in one of the most typical neighborhoods in town, the Bairro Alto. It's here where you can still find the old lady standing at the window waiting to know about what's on the newspapers headlines, if the neighbor became finally a grandmother or just waiting for those news that only those that stay at the windows are able to "catch".
