Quiet during the day, very lively at night, Atalaia is one of the most searched for streets in Lisbon by revellers and is within walking distance of many attractions, several bus lines, the subway and tram 28. The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the subway, many bus lines, and tram 28, the most beautiful ride in the city. Parking in the street is not possible, but there are several paid car parks nearby. The apartment is on the 1st floor of a building that is located on the main nightlife area of Lisbon. It gets very loud in the evenings, until late. You should consider booking an apartment in another part of town if you feel this will negatively affect your stay. This apartment is registered with the Tourism Authority of Portugal and respects portuguese laws and regulations.

Bairro Alto is a central district of the city of Lisbon. The bairro or "neighbourhood" resulted from urban expansion in the 16th century, forming the outside walls of the historical city. It is a fundamental quarter of Lisbon, organized into a hierarchical scheme of roads and lanes: the roads run perpendicular to the river, and the lanes cut parallel to the river. Nowadays it is a quiet and traditional neighbourhood during the day, turning from early evening into the most searched for nightlife destination of the city. Acting as a meeting point for many cultures and generations, visitors are able to choose from a variety of great restaurants, fado houses, pubs and discos. Note that it does get very noisy in the evenings (consider bringing earplugs), so if you're a light sleeper maybe you should look for a place in another part of town.
