The tenement house in which the Vintage Apartment is located was built in 1957. The interior has been designed taking into account the modernist character of the building, preserving the bottled ceiling, using design icons from the 50s and 60s of the XXth century, thanks to which it has a unique atmosphere and "soul". At the same time, interior is modern and very functional, equipped with all conveniences such as a washing machine, dishwasher. There are beautiful, crystal and porcelain dishes that give shine to every meal. The apartment features themed guidebooks for Warsaw and maps, as well as historical albums about the city and the history of Polish design. The walls of the living room and bedroom are decorated with original oil paintings and graphics created by Polish artists - Marianna Sztyma, Luiza Poredę and Teresa Polinska, as well as antique and contemporary porcelain. To ensure the comfort of a good rest and sleep, the apartment is equipped with 2 sets (a warm quilt or a cooler + 2 pillows) of down bedding and 2 synthetic pillows for allergy sufferers. On the sofa there are pillows with natural cereal shells and a woolen, hand-woven blanket, so that you can feel at home.

I have the nature of a traveler and visited over 40 countries on 5 continents. I know how nice it is to stay in a place that says more about the surrounding culture and space, than a chain hotel. A place where you can feel the history and observe the local life, eat a delicious meal, drink your favorite coffee, tea or a glass of wine, read something interesting, and at the end of the day - relax and sleep well after a day full of sightseeing, to rest for new experiences. That's why I created a place where I would like to stay myself - located close to many historical places and tourist attractions, cafes and restaurants, yet peaceful, quiet, providing a good rest after an eventful day. The elements of the interior I was collecting personally and are chosen for the comfort of Guests, but also for immersing them in the history of the building, district and city, which the Vintage Apartment is part of. I was born in Warsaw and this is my city, whose history is tragic and heroic, and the post-war revival - fascinating and beautiful. I would like, thanks to the Vintage Apartment, to make my Guests remember Warsaw so. You are more than welcome!

The Vintage Apartment is located in the historical part of Warsaw, in Wola, at ul. Karolkowa, which dates back to the XVIII century. During the Second World War, in the first days of Warsaw Uprising and "Wola slaughter", which peak reached August 5-7, 1944, the buildings at Karolkowa were burnt, bombed and destroyed, and the inhabitants murdered by the Nazis. Collective executions were accompanied by rapes and looting. During the massacre of the Wola district, 30,000 up to 65 000 (at Karolkowa Street, about 1 300) men, women and children were murdered (including Redemptorists, staff and patients of several hospitals, children from the orphanages). It was probably the biggest one-time massacre on the civils, done in Europe during World War II, held with the bestial cruelty. There are many monuments and plaques commemorating these tragic events in the area. Today, in the Wola district there are shiny skyscrapers, impressive modern glass offices of the biggest world companies, mixed with old, post-war tenement houses. Wola vibrates with life and only monuments remind us of its heroic history. Please, stop next to them for a moment.
