In the heart of UNESCO’s world heritage, the Canal Belt, on one of the vibrant 9 streets lies this apartment that has access to everything Amsterdam has to offer within walking distance or a tram ride. The two beautifully decorated rooms offer private bathrooms which come with a shower and a toilet. The bedrooms are equipped with a Nespresso machine, a kettle, cable Smart-TV with Netflix and Youtube and free Wi-Fi. The apartment breaths a homely atmosphere with the intimacy of a B&B and the comfort of a hotel. Housed in a charming traditional 17th century Amsterdam building, the 2-bedroom apartment offers a spectacular accommodation experience for up to 4 guests. My name is Michel Meijer and I’m an entrepreneur working in Real Estate management and development. Born in June 1977 in Amsterdam and raised here. I love my city and its diversity. I also have a soft spot for Italy, be it the wonderful language, the beautiful landscapes, the delicious food or my favourite red wine. The quaint and quirky streets that straddle Amsterdam’s grandest canals form the city’s most photogenic micro-neighbourhood. This special and picturesque neighbourhood known to locals as ‘The Nine Streets’ (or De Negen Straatjes), is full to bursting with vintage and designer shopping, art galleries, quirky concept stores and many bars and restaurants housed in picturesque, stepped-gabled buildings, some of which date to the 17th and 18th centuries. As the name suggests, the 9-street area is known for the nine streets that connects the canals of Amsterdam. Since the neighbourhood is much more calm and quiet than other parts of Amsterdam, a stroll through the 9 Streets is recommended; a great place for window-shopping, enjoying the ambience and marvelling at the architecture. Located in the very heart of Amsterdam’s beautiful canal district, just two minutes’ walk from Dam Square, the Nine Streets make up one of the city’s most unique and delightful shopping areas. These nine parallel streets link each of the four great canals that loop the oldest part of the city.
