Filippo is a great host and did everything to make our stay unforgettable! Breakfast is great, with homemade pastries and fresh fruit. The option to order a homemade and tasteful dinner is also very convenient (and we loved the wine!). Villa Sant'Alberto is a great property, very well-maintained and with a truly charming Tuscan atmosphere. We highly recommend this place!

Villa St. Albert is a typical Tuscan structure entirely built with handmade bricks at the end of 1800. It has a bright entrance hall with original frescoes and other rooms with painted ceilings, a large kitchen with terracotta floor, and a huge fireplace with side benches where you can sit by the fire. Everything keeps an old flavour which recalls the genuine life in the countryside. Time has passed, but inside the house nothing has changed, as it has been wisely restored by the careful hands of local craftsmen. The villa has been owned by the Ghini family for more than a century. The lounge - once the granary -today is a wonderful and spacious living room with antique furniture, a pool table, and several bookcases containing the old accounting books of the company that testify to the historical memory of rural life. On those books, every day the grandfather Antimo Ghini, recorded all the financial activities of the company with extreme precision. In front of the house, stands a majestic century-old holm plant surrounded by many other shade groves crossed by small paths. In the front garden, you can enjoy a stunning view over the valley, the hills and the beautiful oak forest
Carla and Alessandro, after a life spent managing clothing stores in Siena, in 2003 began the renovation of the Villa and its exterior spaces. In 2010 the restoration of the adjacent farm building has been eventually completed, creating four apartments that have been decorated and equipped with the utmost care. The furniture is the result of a meticulous research to give a warm and cozy look: that's why the whole house is characterized by a Provencal style with a delicate range of light pastel colors. Technologically speaking, the apartments are self-sufficient for the supply of hot water which is always provided by solar panels, the roof is ventilated and offers excellent temperature all year round, whereas in winter the heating is placed underfloor, ensuring a constant warmth. "We live next door, so we are always there for everything our guests may need, we always welcome them personally and we wish to place them immediately at ease, spoiling them with a welcome drink and some home-made pastry baked by Carla. During their stay, we provide our guests leaflets and maps of the area with all the necessary information about the most famous places to visit.
Our property is located 12 km from Siena, among the hills of the Sienese Crete, an unspoiled environment with gorgeous landscapes and old farm houses built with bricks of clay from the area, rigorously hand-made. There are no new structures, and restorations must be strictly respectful of the original, both in appearance and materials. From here you can visit within easy reach, many small towns such as Montalcino, Pienza, San Quirico d'Orcia, Montepulciano, Bagno Vignoni, which are just some of the most beautiful villages in the "Val d'Orcia", decreed by UNESCO "heritage of humanity" for its natural beauty. Our land is also full of fascinating abbeys, some of which date back to the Romantic period. Siena is easily accessible, a true must-see town, extraordinarily rich in arts and culture, admired by the entire world. During the Palio, a seven century old tradition which takes place in July and August, there's a magical atmosphere that deserves to be experienced both by locals and tourists. Florence is only 70 km away, and not very far from our Villa you can also find San Gimignano and Volterra which are definitely worth a visit. The sea is just an hour's drive away and the tri
