Hill Town Tours was founded by Andrea Bruni in 2008, a local of Cortona, Tuscany, as a tour operating agency specialized in tour services and villas. The company, inaugurated in Tuscany, has since expanded to include other Italian and European destinations. Villa Sole is nestled into the hillside in a beautiful, secluded location, surrounded by olive trees and just a short 5 minute drive from Cortona. Recently renovated in a style that retained the original character of the villa, with its traditional wooden beams, terracotta floor tiles and large open stone fire place, but also incorporated simple but luxurious touches in the decor of the six bedrooms and six bathrooms. Spread over three floors, the ground floor has a small sitting area, three double bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms and a recreation area offering gym facilities, a spa and a sauna. On the first floor there is a small kitchen with a large oven and dishwasher, dining room, and a living room with its original stone fireplace where you can cosy up with a glass of wine. There are two additional bedrooms, one double and one single, with a shared bathroom. The top floor has a double bedroom with a bathroom. Outside there is a wonderful outdoor kitchen area, equipped with a wood fire oven, BBQ, sink and a dining area with magnificent views of the surrounding hills. There is a spacious garden, terrace, lounging area, and an infinity pool positioned above the house where you can again take in the views of the surrounding Tuscan landscape while enjoying the absolute privacy of the property, fully immersed in nature.

Cortona is a small charming town,in the province of Arezzo in southern Tuscany and is the main cultural and artistic center of the Val di Chiana. The city, enclosed by Etruscan stone walls, sits on the top of a hill about 600 meters above sea level that embraces a view of the whole Valdichiana and Lake Trasimeno.The heart of Cortona is Piazza della Repubblica, with Palazzo Comunale overlooking the square, from which originates the main street, named via Nazionale, the only flat street in town, also knows as Ruga Piana among the locals.The town offers many interesting places to visit, such as the Diocesan Museum where you can admire Beato Angelico's painting, and Museo dell'Accademia Etrusca, displaying items from Etruscan, Roman, and Egyptian civilizations, as well as art and artefacts from the Medieval and Renaissance eras.You should not miss a visit to the beautiful Santa Margherita Sanctuary, patron of the town, to the Girifalco Fortress and to the Franciscan hermitage Le Celle, the first monastery built by Saint Francis of Assisi in 1211.
