A charming villa that offers elegance and luxury as well as a warm and welcoming atmosphere: a place suited for everyone who wants to spend some time in touch with nature and in total comfort, thanks to an attentive reception of guests’ desires and needs and a service of excellence. The villa, which is now used as a Relais and dates back to 17th century, is located in the heart of Massa City in the Monte di Pasta park. It has been recently refurbished in compliance with the finishes of the historical period with particular care and attention in the use of materials. The villa, famous for being the home of Pietro Alessandro Guglielmi (one of the greatest Italian composers of the 18th century), is surrounded by a garden with secular palm trees and embellished by a bronze fountain of the early 20th century. A path in the terraces that face directly on the villa leads directly to “Monte di Pasta” park, where you can have a magnificent panoramic view of the whole city and the coast. The features of this property have such a value that they require sophisticated furniture in order to create environments that express personality and uniqueness.
Anna and Patrizia will be pleased to host you in their kitchen to share their passion for good food. For those who will, it will be possible to participate in the preparation of typical, simple and tasty dishes to discover the tradition of good local cuisine and, why not… make some recipe now lost in time! Our Rooms are equipped with high quality furniture, made and chosen to create a suitable ambience for a prestigious villa, giving an elegant and sophisticated feel at the same time thanks to a mix of colors, sensations and aromas that help guests relaxing and planning tours around with the desire to return. Our breakfast room makes our guests smile and boosts their enthusiasm helping them to face a new intense day. It is characterized by a sophisticated environment that satisfies the gaze of those who enter the room and the taste of those who want to prepare for an intense day, that they can spend in one of the wonderful places that are easy to reach from Villa Bonini. The Villa is also equipped with a fireplace room and a reading room, suggestive and welcoming ambiences for everyone who wants to relax and think about the next tour among the Villa’s surroundings.
Among the Tuscan cities Massa is perhaps the one with the least celebrated history, but it has the advantage of being located in an area that is very rich of interesting sites and natural treasures. Close to the Apuane and the sea, Massa is at the center of an area that includes the Cinque Terre (World Heritage Site) and the Val di Vara (known in Italy and Europe to be among the the first valleys of the biological); to the northwest and to the north there are the Lunigiana and the Garfagnana (rich in history, especially Lunigiana with its mysterious Stele statues); to the east there are the city of Lucca and Pisa. Then… the sea: many beach areas extend all along from Versilia to the west, reaching Magra river’s mouth and continuing on the other bank of the river where the typical Ligurian coast begins, dominated by Montemarcello, Tellaro, the Golfo dei Poeti, Portovenere and again the world-famous Cinque Terre. All places reachable in less than an hour. Around the Villa there are many places where we can devote ourselves to many different activities, discovering all the things that our territory can offer. Hiking and trekking routes on the Apuane and near the famous Carrara.
