Masseria Pompea is an ancient rural masseria born in the early 17th century. and subsequently transformed into a beautiful noble villa, which gives its name to the entire district located in the center of the ancient Ottaviano valley. The activity of the masseria continues until the 1940s and on Sundays it becomes a meeting and prayer place for the surrounding community thanks to the small church that is still inside today. After a long period of neglect, almost reduced to a ruin, at the end of the 90s it was recovered with a slow restoration and restored to its former glory. Immersed in the Salento countryside between Casarano and Taviano, in a fenced estate of about 11 hectares full of centuries-old olive trees, palms, pines and Mediterranean scrub - Tenuta Pompea has a beautiful swimming pool and a tennis court or illuminated five-a-side football pitch.
