Secret Gardens is located just outside Borgomaro, a picturesque village in the Ligurian inland, just 15km from Imperia. We can only be reached via a pedestrian path through the countryside (only 200 mts from where you can park your car - we are however able to take your luggage for you with our little 4wheel drive that can reach our house). The old stone arch marks the entrance to our fairy tale place; an oasis of peace where you can enjoy the sound of the river, the birds and the church bells. Our house was a 200 year old water mill, now completely refurbished. The ground floor is entirely for you, with a bedroom an en-suite bathroom and a living area with a kitchenette for your use. SECRET GARDENS, because we have many terrace gardens than you can enjoy, following either the sun or the shade as you prefer. From here you can walk or bike along our dirt road amidst the surrounding olive groves. The perfect get-away for nature lovers; you will feel like stepping back in time. Relax in the gardens, enjoy breakfast listening to the birds singing, have a barbecue in the evening under the stars, with the light of the fireflies around you or refresh in the natural pools of Borgomaro.

Veronika and Roberto are your guests. After many years in Milan, which they still love and travel to often, they decided they wanted a change of life and started searching for the perfect place. Many months and many kilometres later, they stumbled across Borgomaro; it was love at first sight. The house needed to be completely refurbished (a photo on the wall will show you what it was like), but the countryside was that of their dreams; peaceful, surrounded by nature, away from everything but close to everything - the perfect combination. And now, every time the walk under the stone arch to enter their property they live the same dream.

Our only neighbours are birds, squirrels and a huge variety of forest wildlife to share the property with.
