Right downtown in the heart of Vicenza just a stone's throw from Teatro Olimpico and Piazza dei Signori the main square in town. With a lovely terrace on the river overlooking the Bacchiglione and Roman bridge Ponte delle Barche you can walk anywhere in a matter of minutes. The apartment has everything you need with full kitchen facilities, SKY T.V. with films in English, high speed fibre optics WiFi and parking 180m just around the corner from the house. This is where we will be retiring as it is so conveniently located in the historic center, with easy access and quiet surroundings. The charm of being right downtown is unbeatable and the apartment itself is very comfortable for short holidays or extended stays.

We were the first B&B in Vicenza back in 2002, long before Booking and other portals came along. We still offer rooms here in Borgo Berga where we live, which is a short distance from the River House. Have a look at Google maps for a better idea of how many world heritage sites are right around the corner from the River House. Just to name a few... 1. Teatro Olimpico (1st indoor theater in the world which presents an optical illusion based on depth perception by its designer Andrea Palladio) 2. Basilica Palladiana (designed by Palladio and unites 3 Roman buildings) where you can attend art exhibitions or simply sip tea on the terrace at the top overlooking the main square in town. 3. Piazza dei Signori (the main square in town which has a unique charm all its own) was once under Venetian rule and makes for a wonderful place to people watch and kick back. I could go on and on but a bit of research on Vicenza will pull up plenty more than I can list here, all of which is within a 5 minute walk at most of the River House.
