Well presented apartment very comfortable for a couple, great bed, roomy bathroom, and updated fit out of kitchen supplies. Good wifi and a location with a view at the edge of town, with a large terrace and swimming pool. But as good as the amenities are, the host is exceptional. He kept us well informed from time of booking through to arrival and even helped us out in an emergency. He also provided great suggestions for places to see in Spoleto and the surrounding area.

We operate tourist lease of apartments. The main building of Opificio was built in 1656, a date engraved in the corner stone of the tower. The Discalced Carmelite Fathers made it a leather tanning shop due to the abundance of water coming from the surrounding springs. The area, the Colle Ciciano, was formerly a place of worship where two important Christian calls arose: the Basilica of San Salvatore, now a UNESCO parade for its unique Longobard architecture, and the Basilica of San Ponziano, patron of the city of Spoleto. Both are just a few meters from the Opificio. The typical Tower with Ghibelline merlons was built after the unification of Italy (1860) by the ancient and noble Family Campello, whose noble title came from the Emperor after the year 1000 AD. The structure has been restored in 2009 to increase the resistance to seismic events. The Opificio de'Frati is also immersed in a hilly area dedicated to the cultivation of olive trees. With its more than 200 trees, you can find a small production of high quality extra virgin olive oil to purchase.

The visit to the city of Spoleto guarantees a unique landscape, to be admired and enjoyed in utmost peace. The historic center appears in its splendid shape, giving unique views, perfectly in harmony with the history that characterizes Spoleto. The main monuments and squares are reachable by feet in 10 -12 minutes. However Spoleto offers a high level alternative mobility. Two major escalators that allow a capillary reachability of the city. Lifts connected to the Escalators will avoid excessive efforts.The cathedral of Spoleto gives to all the patrons an evocative view. Other sacred structures deserve to be visited for their wealth and beauty.
