Our Bed & Breakfast Le Ginestre is set in the picturesque countryside of Umbria, only 10 minutes from Assisi and with impressive Mount Subasio set in the background. While staying with us you can explore the region's numerous sites and relax when you get 'home', be it on the sun terrace, having an Aperitivo laying on one of the garden loungers, or during the summer at our big pool with its breathtaking views. This place is perfect no matter how long you would like to stay with us. It can be a one or two nights stay if you just want to stop in the Assisi/Umbria region while travelling the country, it can be a three or four nights stay for a city break or long weekend trip or a week or longer if you really want to relax or have the opportunity to come back 'home' after a day trip to the Adriatic Sea, Lake Trasimeno or even Florence or Rome. Spending a twin center holiday is another suggestion, spend a few nights with us and combine them with a few nights at one of the other mentioned places. Since I was a child I have always had the dream of my own bed & breakfast in Italy. After years working for different airlines and tour agencies I decided to work for a hotel in the Caribbean to gain hospitality experience and get ready for my big goal. :-) I loved the interaction with guests and when I left the beautiful island of Aruba to move to Italy I had a very clear picture in mind of what my future bed & breakfast should look like. I was absolutely blown away when my husband and I came across Le Ginestre in Assisi since this place is basically exactly what I was looking for. I am so grateful and proud to now call myself the owner of this little piece of heaven with our individually designed rooms, stunning pool area with view and our little family of animals.

Me personally I love the location of Le Ginestre. Assisi is just 10 minutes away and every time I pass through I am fascinated by how breathtaking that place is. I still want to take photos every time I drive passed it. Yet our bed & breakfast is located in the countryside with all its charm of secluded peacefulness. Waking up to the birds singing their good morning song, maybe going for a morning walk with our dog Maia, enjoying a splending breakfast made with local products and enjoying the views. But of course there is so much to discover in this region, you have Perugia (with the airport in only 40 minutes distance), Gubbio, Spello, Foligno, to name just a few of the stunning medival towns around. Then there is Lake Trasimeno which we highly recommend for a visit together with Castiglione del Lago, you will get there in about 40 minutes. Day trips can be made to Florence, Rome or Ancona on the Adriatic Coast - or you even spend a night there before coming back 'home'.
