Welcome to the Holiday Home Nairz! Surrounded by a landscape of very high mountains, which attract hiking and ski touring, lies our comfortable home, 1530m above sea level. Our home is not far from Saint Spirit, a famous pilgrimage site. We are pleased to share our oasis of well-being which invites not only the adventurous, but also those who want to enjoy nature, natural beauty and a range of outdoor activities, both summer and winter. In striking distance of our Holiday Home (about 500m distance) is located the famous copper mine of Prettau with its Climatic Gallery. There you can find an air, free of pollen which is enhancing and curative in the healing process for respiratory diseases. Many tourists use this opportunity to find relief when suffering from these kind of problems. As well, you can enjoy a "Kneipp Health Track" (5km long) which includes exercises such as nature baths in cold water, walking throught streams and on a barefoot track.

I would like to introduce our Family - the parents, Kassian and Adelheid and the three adult children Maria, Johannes and Julian. We are a family of sporting enthusiasts. The younger members have become very proficient skiers, all are qualified ski instructors who have managed to combine both sport training and education very successfully. In winter we enjoy going on local ski tours and in summer we often go for mountain hikes in these stunning surroundings. Kassian, who is a qualified hiking guide, is always pleased to accompany guests who wish to hike in these mountains.

In the middle of June the summer finally begins as the short spring vanishes and nature moves on. In the last weeks of June the mountains of Prettau are in full magnificent bloom and the hillsides are covered with Alpine Rose and many other mountain flowers, turning this landscape into a real paradise. The warmest summer months, July and August invite hikers and mountain climbers to enjoy the quite of nature. In Prettau there are many high tracks such as the "Lausitzerweg", the track up to the hut "Birnlücke", the track across the hut " Lenkjöchelhütte" from the valley "Röttal" to the valley "Windtal", or the solitary high track from the hut "Rötalm" to the hut "Stegeralm". A hike to the high mountain lake "Waldnersee" makes a Holiday in Prettau an unforgettable memory. Mountaineers have the opportunity to reach the mountains around Prettau by hiking on beautiful and sometimes challenging tracks. Mountains highly regarded by mountaineers are the "Rötspitze", the "Dreiherrenspitze", the "Ahrnerkopf", the "Rauchkofel" and the "Schöntalkopf".
