Authentic winery house dating back to 1860, in the beautiful Sicilian countryside. Surrounded by vineyards and organic olive groves. Typical antique furniture. Panoramic rooms. Unforgettable organic breakfast. Swimming pool in the arabic garden. 13 km from the sea. The Manor is 600 m2 big, composed of 5 big and little living rooms, 12 bedrooms with bathroom, and a full equipped large kitchen. The main living room is in the ancient restore d winery, called "palmento", has floor-to-ceiling windows toward the court, called "baglio", and an enormous old fireplace. The kitchen is original, with a wood-burning oven and a large stone sink. The bedrooms are spacious and fine furnished in vintage design style, all equipped with en-suite bathroom decorated with ancient ceramics. All rooms heating and air conditioning equipped. Good morning! You can freely pick the fruit from our trees of oranges, mandarins and figs. You can relax walking through the vineyards and olive trees or taking a dip in the swimming pool inside the Arab garden, always open and at your disposal. Have your delicious organic country breakfast and if you want to go to the beach, is just 15 minutes far!
Find happiness in homemade jams at breakfast (fig, tangerine, orange), aubergine Parmigiana at dinner (creamy, delicious) and beautiful wine; the family’s wines are spicy, citrusy, organic and sold by Ottolenghi. Rosaura comes from an old Palermo family, Bruno may entertain you with his oenophilic stories, and daughter Fausta, a landscape architect, greets you warmly; they are an adorable family. Here, in the oldest wine area in the world, is their low, handsome 1800s winery - views to Etna on one side, the sea on the other - surrounded by a young garden of olive and wild almond trees. Inside: white minimalist living spaces where big lounging sofas, family antiques, art books and prints mix with open stone walls, pale terracotta tiles and a wonderful rustic stone fireplace. Bedrooms – two at ground level, two in the loft – are soothingly, spartanly white; wild flowers spill out of jugs and there’s a bath tub with a view. Visit the baroque town of Vittoria, eat well in Scoglitti, set off for the sea, return for a lap in the salt-purified pool. Marvellous.
