Part of the Italian Historic House Association, this listed building in the centre of Mantua dates back to the 17th century. It offers free access to its on-site museum, and unique accommodation with stone walls and original frescoes. Rooms and the self-catering apartment have antique furniture, and many original features of the building. They are air conditioned and come with free Wi-Fi, a fridge, and an LCD TV. A laptop computer is available in all rooms. Casa Museo Palazzo Valenti Gonzaga is 750 metres from the Basilica of Sant'Andrea. The Ducal Palace, Te Palace, and San Giorgio Castle are all within an 8-minute walk. A bicycle storage is provided. Coffee, tea, mineral water, and prosecco wine are available in the guests' rooms, courtesy of the Linardi family. Guests can visit Museo Valenti Gonzaga for free, which has both permanent and temporary art exhibitions, including works of Flemish painter Frans Geffels, and Italian sculptor Giovan Battista Barberini. A collection of antique and rare books is also on display.
