I have chosen the location for the construction of the house because of its unique position in the Mediterrean and its central position in the Gulf of Castellammare. It lies in the province of Palermo and is close to the province of Trapani, the relative cities and airports Falcone e Borsellino and Birgi. The next shops are only 5 min. cardrive, the most beautiful beaches of the northwestern cost 5 min cardrive away. The house is situated halfway up the mountain road to the pilgrimage location "Madonna di Romitello" and has one of the most stunning and largest views on the entire Gulf of Castellammare as well as on the varied Sicilian mountain landscape. On the terrace you can enjoy the intense and african colours of the sunset on the sea. myself and have commissioned its construction in order to live in a quiet and undisturbed location and enjoy the stunning view of the entire Gulf of Castellammare and at the same time on the varied Sicilian mountain landscape. Along the road to the Madonna di Romitello there are several water sources where you can fetch/drink fresh spring water.

I am of Italian origin and am born and have grown up in Germany. I have pursued a career as Project Manager in Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland before in 2006 I have started the construction of my house in Sicily where I have settled down definitively. I have fallen in love with the place because it allows me to wake up and go to bed with a stunning view on the sea, to enjoy nature, barbecue and have a swim in the pool and still be close to the cities and provinces of Palermo and Trapani.

Romitello is know for the devotion to the saint "Madonna di Romitello". In the month of May the believers come by foot from the surrounding cities to visit and honour the Madonna di Romitello. All year round, people from the provinces of Palermo and Trapani come to fetch fresh spring water from the water sources along the road to the Madonna di Romitello. The area is a residential district and apt for activities like hiking, paragliding, horse riding, mountain biking.
