This one of a kind, old Reykjavik style wooden house was built in 1904 and is one of the few surviving timber buildings of the historic downtown. It was formerly the headquarters for the Icelandic telecommunication services. Today it is an adult only hotel situated in the heart of Reykjavik. Located right at the bus stop #3 to the airport and most tour busses, right between city hall, parlament, the main street and the first schools of the city, it is fair to say, we are in the middle of it all. Surrounded by buzzing nightlife, comedy clubs, restaurants and a few minute walk from the old harbour this is a place where no car is necessary. The guesthouse is in the heart of the city so there are loud bars close by. We offer our guests to request quiet rooms on the top floors or facing the back alley. Those rooms are extra quiet and should offer a silence for deep sleep.

Our guesthouse is located right in the city center, just minutes walk away from most of our museums and attractions. It will only take you 7 minutes to walk down to the old harbour. Our guests love the local swimming pool which is only 15 minutes walk away from our guesthouse. All the bigger bus companies do have us on their pick up list, so it is easy to attend the tours and hunt for the northern lights.
