There is a television, dvd player and radio/cd player, fully equipped kitchen/dining room with oven and grill, microwave, hob, fridge with ice box, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. All necessary crockery and cutlery are provided. All duvets, towels and linen provided. The cottage is situated on its own private enclosed grounds which provide ample parking, and secluded areas to relax and sunbathe or enjoy an open air meal and view the scenic countryside. Combining the best of both worlds it has every modern convenience and all the romantic appeal of a country cottage. We have welcomed guests from all over the world and look forward to meeting new ones. My wife and I, although remaining unobtrusive, will be happy to help you with any plans or issues that may arise. It is 8 mins by car from the town of Bantry which has a cinema, hospital, lots cafes, pubs, restaurants and a good bus service to Cork City.

We are both retired but still very active with lots of interests. I am a keen birder and fisherman, whilst Susan is an accomplished artist ( water colour and textile ). Susan is also a keen gardener and we have a splendid garden which you are free to enjoy at your leisure with several places to sit out and enjoy alfresco meals. We know West Cork very well and and are only too pleased to recommend places to visit and eat out ( and also to avoid ) plus Whale watching trips, fishing, birdwatching spots, country walks and places of local interest. Michael is also an insured independent tour guide and offers tours for guests to places of interest in West Cork and Kerry including visits to megaliths, castles and history sites.
