Situated in the historic town of Westport, McCarthy’s Lodge B&B is a family-owned property which features home-cooked meals and live entertainment every weekend. Free Wi-Fi is featured in each room at McCarthy’s, as well as an en suite bathroom, TV and orthopedic beds. Rooms have either a carpeted or wooden floor. A full Irish breakfast is on offer, with vegetarians also catered for. Guests can also relax in the communal lounge, which includes tea/coffee making facilities. A beer garden is available for guests to enjoy their drinks in. Crough Patrick and Westport Golf Club are a 5-minute drive from the property, with the nearest train station just 10 minutes’ walk away. Knock Airport can be reached in 40 minutes’ drive.

McCarthys Lodge & Bar is one of the few guesthouses on the western seaboard with a bar attached to the guesthouse. Our friendly bar is located beside the guesthouse where you can enjoy a drink or sample the local hospitality.
Ger & Michael Foy are your hosts at McCarthys Lodge and Bar. Great care and attention is paid to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. As the owners of the Bar and Guesthouse Ger and Michael also live onsite so you are always guaranteed personal attention.
McCarthys Lodge and Bar are situated right in the centre of Westport town and conveniently located within easy reach of Westport Quay. There is a multitude of restaurants, bars and evening entertainment all within walking distance of the Guesthouse
