Claddagh House is owned and run by Louise Buckley and her husband Gourlay Fairman. Louise, originally from Dublin and Gourlay from Glasgow, bought the property in 2017. They carried out a complete renovation to bring it up to the standards they aspired to. They had spent time searching for the perfect house in the ideal location as a haven for guests and Claddagh House was it. A New Direction: In early 2020 the bed and breakfast closed, they decided they had to change the way the house was operated, they took time to further renovate the house and upgrade the bathrooms, they put in a new state of the art kitchen and they added a private apartment so that they could live on-site and offer the main house as a Luxury Self Catering Property to large families and groups. Having traveled extensively Louise and Gourlay used this experience to bring an exceptional standard of hospitality and attention to detail to their business. Louise’s early training was as a chef, and along with the assistance of a local award-winning chef they are delighted to offer a private catering service available for both breakfast and dinner, pre-booking is essential.
