Anthony and Julie would like to welcome you to Caragh Glen. We are a small bed and breakfast with a more homely feel and pride ourselves on being as environmentally friendly as we can by having solar tubes to heat hot water and an eco friendly heating system. We grow most our own vegetables and some fruits from which julie makes jams and preserves and we have our own chickens providing fresh eggs for your full irish breakfast!! Both double rooms have satellite tv,coffee and tea making facilities with your own private adjoining bathroom/shower room. Towels,hair driers and toiletries are provided. We are 29km from kerry airport and 28km from killarney which has coach/train stations Dooks golf links and killorglin and killarney golf clubs are all close by. There are many stunning beaches within a 10 minute drive . Caragh lake is within the killarney national park and on the fringes of the dark sky reserve. The property is only 4km from the main ring of kerry road on the Wild Atlantic Way Killorglin and Glenbeigh have many award winning restaurants and pubs serving delicious local sourced products.

We moved to Kerry three years ago to lead a more self sustaining lifestyle with our passions for gardening and fishing. Being set in Caragh lake for myself is a dream, being an avid fisherman and my main passion being fly fishing its the perfect location.I own a 19ft lake boat to take people out in fishing or even a pleasure trip. With having half an acre of land it allows julie to enjoy her hobby of gardening mainly for our table. We are both animal lovers and have april,may and june our chickens and Charlie our adorable friendly cat

We are set in very peaceful surroundings of Caragh lake which is a part of the killarney national park an area of special conservation. McGillycuddys reeks is the highest mountain range in Ireland which rises to over 1000ft and can be seen from the lake. An ideal place to base yourself to explore the ring of Kerry and its many tourist attractions and places of outstanding natural beauty. Rossbeigh strand is only 12km away a stunning beach where you can even go on for a horse ride. For the more adventurous Cappanalea outdoor center offers many outdoor activities including kayaking, wind surfing and climbing and is only 5minutes away by car. Caragh lake is a 4mile long lough which is known for its spring salmon and grilse fishing it holds many free rising brown trout which offers the angler good sport. There are many fantastic scenic walks Caragh lake woods is opposite our B&B and offers different trails according to fitness with one offering a 360 degree view over the lake ,Rossbeigh strand,cromane point and Killorglin town. Its the ideal place to relax and recharge your batteries!
