Agios Dimitrios is a Settlement in Arkadi in Rethymno in the Crete Region of Greece.Approximately 75 people live in Agios Dimitrios. In Agios Dimitrios there is a beautiful Byzantine church of the homonym Saint, Agios Dimitrios. There are signs to Agios Dimitrios on the road, south of Pigi. Once you arrive, walk around the village on a path going to the right and down for about 200 metres (there are also signs in the village). The church, of cruciform architecture, has a large dome on a drum, several high blind arches for support and decoration and there are remains of frescoes.
