Llyswen is situated in the Upper Wye Valley between three well known tourist towns of Hay on Wye (the Town of Books), Brecon (gateway to the Beacons) and Builth Wells (home of the Royal Welsh Show). We are situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and only a mile and a half from Llangoed Hall, (renowned wedding venue) and 25 miles from the Red Kite Feeding Centre at Rhayader. In 2008, our village was voted number 10 in the Top Ten Desirable Villages in Britain as reported in the Daily Mail and ITV.
