A beautiful apartment set in lovely grounds. The apartment is nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable, clean and has everything you need. It was perfect for walking to the racecourse, where I was working, and walking distance from town with its brewery, pubs and restaurants. It is quiet too. The owners were communicative and helpful.

Woodleighton Cottages is located in Uttoxeter, a 5-minute walk from Uttoxeter Racecourse and 7 miles from Alton Towers. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. The self-catering cottages have fully equipped kitchens equipped with granite worktops, Denby kitchenware, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There are private bathrooms with bathrobes and fresh towels in every cottage. Free private parking is available. Complimentary wine, bottled water, tea and coffee are provided. The cottages are located within the grounds of a 19th century manor house, with mature trees, a fish pond, flower beds and walled English gardens. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including walking, golfing and cycling. Cannock Chase Forest is 14 miles away from Woodleighton Cottages. Uttoxeter train station is a 7-minute walk away, and the nearest airport is East Midlands Airport, 26 miles from the property.

Woodleighton Cottages is a privately run business consisting of 4 spacious Self Catering properties located in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire - just 5 minutes walk from the Race Course. The Cottages were lovingly created from a former Coach House to Wood Leighton House, a beautiful Georgian Manor House dating back to the 1860’s which has also been lovingly restored. The owners of the Cottages live in the Manor House, so if you need any local knowledge or a great restaurant recommendation just ask! The Manor House and Cottages sit nestled in their own quiet, restful and picturesque grounds, surrounded by mature trees, large lawns, a fish pond and beautiful flower beds with walled English gardens. There is a tree lined drive leading to the front of the cottages and an oak spinney adjacent. The Cottages have a uniqueness which gives you the best of both worlds - once in the grounds you feel like you are in the open countryside and all the stresses and strains melt away as you watch the squirrels foraging. Yet almost on your door step you also have all the local amenities. The Luxury Cottages retain beautiful original features while also being equipped to the latest modern standards.
If you fancy treating yourself or your partner, why not request and book a Swedish Massage or Hot Stone Therapy Massage (at supplementary charge). For prices please see the price list in your welcome pack within your Cottage or book as an extra on the website. Massages take place within the Beauty room in Wood Leighton House and will be carried out by the owner who is a qualified Therapist.
Close to shops; Uttoxeter Racecourse, Train Station are in walking distance, Ashbourne, the Peak District National Park, FA National Football Centre and Alton Towers are all but a short drive away. Cannock Chase is nearby for bikers. The towns of Burton Upon Trent (Bass & Marston Brewery), Lichfield (Lichfield Cathedral), Derby, Stafford The County Show Ground) and Stoke on Trent are all within 10-15 minutes drive. There are also the villages of Stone, Checkley, Blythe Bridge, Rocester, Loxley and Cheadle. In Uttoxeter town you can find Pubs, a Cinema and Ice Skating as well as Cafes and Restaurants.
