Waterside Escapes is our much loved waterside holiday home set within Sinclairs Mill, a 19th Century converted corn mill with unspoilt views onto the River Witham in Lincolnshire. Having been completely renovated for the comfort of our guests, this holiday home is perfect for couples seeking a tranquil, romantic retreat. The property comes with a private hot tub for use during your stay. Guests are able to drive directly to the front of the property where there is allocated parking. Access is via a few steps or sloped walkway, where once inside, accommodation is all on one level. Direct access to the river is available for those who enjoy fishing and there are lovely riverside walks to neighbouring Coningsby and Tattershall where the abundance of wildlife can be enjoyed.
My husband and I run a small Marina in the hamlet of Dogdyke. We have customers from all areas of the UK who moor their boats with us and several narrow boats who live-aboard. Waterside Escapes is our way of sharing the beautiful area where we live with others.
Dogdyke is a small hamlet situated approximately one mile from the Village of Coningsby, home of RAF Coningsby, the Royal Air Force’s Southern Typhoon Main Operating Base and home to two, front line, combat ready squadrons. Operating every type of current RAF fast jet, together with the historic aircraft of the world famous Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, much of the history of the RAF in the last 70 years can be seen in the skies over Coningsby. You can get up close and personal to these beautiful planes by visiting the Battle of Britain Memorial, guardians of the Royal Air Force's heritage. If it's history you're interested in, then a visit to Tattershall Castle might be for you. A magnificent 15th Century red brick castle, set if beautiful grounds, makes for a lovely day out A 10 minute drive will take you to the most attractive village of Woodhall Spa. The village boasts two top class golf courses and the famous Kinema in the Woods. If you fancy a day on the beach, Skegness (one of the most popular seaside resorts in the UK) is just a 45 minute drive away and a trip to Lincolnshire wouldn't be complete without a trip to the City and the beautiful Cathedral & Castle.
