Trenance House is an old Cornish farmhouse with a separate wing containing the B&B bedroom and en suite shower room. You have your own front door and key for your exclusive use so you can come and go as you please.     Sixty years ago you may have found the then occupants of Trenance House, the two Miss Browns, busy making dresses for the world famous Helston Flora Day.   The bedroom consists of a luxury double bed with a duvet and Egyptian cotton bedding. There is more than adequate storage and hanging space for your clothes and accessories. The room has tea and coffee making facilities, TV and internet access. A refrigerator is available in a small ante room   The shower room has a state of the art rain shower head as well as a high pressure flexible shower arm. Our towels are large and luxurious as we strongly believe a towel should thoroughly dry you - not merely move the water around! A full English breakfast is available in the main house . It also includes fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, cereals, fruit juice, preserves, tea and coffee etc.
I have lived in Cornwall all my working life but am now happily retired from teaching as is my husband Richard. We both love gardening - I concentrate on the flowers while Richard grows the vegetables. We have a lot of family who live locally and enjoy spending time with them. We had a long term plan to renovate some farm buildings that are attached to our house and to begin a bed and breakfast business. We hope to meet lots of interesting people from all around the country and possibly even the world. However most of all we want to ensure that people who choose to come to Cornwall on holiday have a good experience with their accommodation and breakfast.
Trenance House is on the outskirts of Nancegollan which is a small village surrounded by open countryside. There is a regular bus service to Helston and Camborne where you can connect to other destinations. As we are very centrally placed we are ideally situated for you to visit the many and varied delights that West Cornwall has to offer such as St Michael's Mount, Land's End, The Lizard, The Tate at St. Ives, The Maritime Museum at Falmouth, The Eden Project and of course the host of glorious beaches that grace the Cornish coast. We thoroughly recommend a visit to Porthleven whilst staying at Trenance House. This is the most southerly working harbour in mainland Britain and 5 miles from us. The village is steeped in history and is home to many interesting shops and galleries. It also boasts a wide variety of very good restaurants serving locally sourced food.
