The instructions received online from Altido Scotland was all spot on. They also recommended a taxi service from the airport that was very reliable and much appreciated. The location of the property is excellent in the heart of the tourist area. The apartment is charming and very comfortable. The bed is particularly comfortable and charming. The apartment looks exactly as it is in the photos. Great restaurants in the area and all very safe. Can walk everywhere.

The renowned and loved Wee Palace is an opulent but cosy apartment in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, in the medieval and bustling Grassmarket square. Located on the third (top) floor of a lovely, truly Scottish historic building, it features a stunning four-poster bed and spectacular views over Edinburgh Castle. This fabulously romantic apartment, which exudes charm and character from every nook and cranny, has just been featured in a leading interiors magazine. They say every man’s home is his castle but this has never been truer than in the case of the decadent ‘Wee Palace’ apartment. It has the best view of Edinburgh Castle in town. And, befitting to its proximity to the historic royal home, its interior is palatial, including a grand, oak panelled four-poster bed. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole apartment including free wifi. Check in is anytime from 3pm and check out by 11am. Other things to note There are three flights of stairs to reach the top floor.

The apartment is located in the historic market square in the heart of the Old Town (the Grassmarket) and is surrounded by iconic landmarks and attractions and charming cobbled winding streets. The square, which is a vibrant and popular meeting place for visitors and locals alike, features independent shops selling everything from designer and vintage fashion to artisan foods, many restaurants and traditional pubs playing live music. Getting around The Grassmarket is right in the heart of the city centre so it's easy to walk everywhere! There are buses and hop-on/Hop Off services stop 1 minute walk from Grassmarket. The majority of day tours and overnight trips to the Highlands and Islands around Scotland leave from just in front of the castle on the Royal Mile which is 1 minute walk away. Waverley railway station is a 10 minute walk away.
