Located in the market town of Wisbech, The Rose and Crown Hotel has its own restaurant, coffee shop and offer free onsite parking, alongside free WI-FI. All our rooms are individually designed and each have their own distinctive identity, featuring flat screen TVs and stylish ensuite bathrooms. All rooms come with complimentary teas, coffees and of course toiletries. Guests can dine at the Swan Restaurant & Coffee shop, which overlooks our charming courtyard on Monday to Saturday between 1pm to 3pm, or the Library, which overlooks the historic marketplace on Monday to Saturday 6pm to 9pm. Please be aware that if you wish to dine with us in the evenings, this must be pre-booked. Our coffee shop serves freshly ground coffee alongside various soft drinks and cakes, while enjoying the views of the courtyard, in a lovely cosy setting, listening to music. Situated just 40 miles from the famous university of Cambridge, guests can explore historical colleges or try punting on the river cam. Alternatively there are many historical sites that can be seen in Wisbech itself such as Elgoods Brewery or Peckover House & Gardens. We're also a 36 minute drive away from the cathedral city of Peterborough if you wish to visit the cathedral grounds. Cyclists are more than welcome to visit and stay with us too as we're part of the North Sea Cycle Route.
