Yvonne was so helpful and met us at the property and explained where everything was. They had worked really hard to get it ready for us after a previous issue with a water leak and there were lots of little extra touches which were not expected but very welcomed. The flat was very well equipped with everything we needed, very comfortable and well located to the town and beaches.

Overlooking Newquay Bay, a 5-minute walk from the beach, this self-catering, 3-bedroom apartment is modern and offers free Wi-Fi and a sun terrace with outdoor furniture and barbecue facilities. There is a shower room with a toilet which are shared by the 3 bedrooms. A hairdryer is provided and there is a beauty salon directly below the apartment, with offers available. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, an oven, stove and kitchenware. A washing machine is also provided and the living/dining area has 2 sofas, a TV and iPod docking station. Newquay Rail Station is a 15-minute walk from The Pad and Newquay Airport is just over 10 minutes’ drive away.

Running for 14 years we are a family run concern having both the salon and the apartment. With restaurants being at a high level in Newquay it goes without saying that our favourite pastime is eating out. Having grandchildren I spend a lot of my time at local play areas such as Dairyland - a play activity park with animals, Camel Creek - another play activity area with fun rides, The zoo - great for the variety of animals, the local cider farm - with petting animals and tractor rides around the orchard and of course the beach and swimming.

The Pad is a two story upside down apartment with the lounge on the upper floor to make full use of the great views along the coast. The apartment is accessed with its own front door in Fore street and is above our Hair & Beauty salon. Although it is not possible to give a breakdown in the Main Bedroom Description we have made use of a Zip and Click bed, this means the beds can either be used as two singles or can be zipped and clicked to make up a Super King Bed. The choice would be yours to make.

The Pad is in a very convenient position for shops, restaurants, beach and activities. The harbour is approx 300 metres, you can do a short coastal trip, sea safari, fishing or relax with coffee and watch the seals chasing the boats for fish. The beach can be accessed via two small paths opposite the Pad, the beach is about 300 metres away, but it is a bit steep on the return journey so the return can easily be taken via the town which is at an easier pace. Newquay town and surrounding area is mostly cliffs so most beaches are reached by slopes or steps. When the tide is out 5 bays merge into 1 and become a huge fun area, great for kids, games and rock pools to explore. with it being a shallow tide it is safe for children to paddle although there are always currents of some form and life guards are on duty in summer season who flag a leisure or surfing area. If its a break from the beach there is a land train to the Zoo, boating lake, play parks, indoor swimming pool or to relax and enjoy the journey. There are some great beach restaurants and numerous bars and night clubs. Most bars have live music most nights, and of course surfing, paddle boarding & body boarding.
