Built around 1830 with an interesting history, Stonelands House retains its original character. Light and airy rooms overlooking a large attractive garden. With a pretty house front, large drive and sunny garden, Stonelands beautifully reflects the Georgian / Victorian era.

Few people, passing regularly back and forth the busy Binstead Road realise that a house is hidden behind the trees, or that it has stood for 200 years. Although the house is Victorian in parts, Stonelands was built around 2 existing pre cottages from the 18th century which appear on a map dated 1802. These cottages were incorporated into Stonelands House.

Binstead Village is situated on the outskirts of Ryde town centre which is within 15 to 20 minutes walk. Binstead Road is the main bus route to Newport (20 minutes) from Stonelands or Ryde (6 minutes) A number 9 bus runs between Newport and Ryde every 10 minutes from a sheltered stop within easy reach of the garden gate. A number 4 bus runs once an hour between East Cowes and Ryde from the same bus stop. Most buses run out over the island either from the bus terminal at Ryde or the bus garage at Newport. A train runs between Ryde and Shanklin. These links make Stonelands a perfect base for exploring the Island's many attractions, by rail, road, bicycle or on foot.
