Close by is the historic parish church of St Rhychwyn, claimed to be the oldest church in Wales, and the Gwydyr Forest Park provides plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. The nearby lake of Llyn Geirionnydd is within walking distance. Betws-y-Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia, is about 4 miles away with its railway museum, shops and riverside walks, whilst for the more adventurous, the family-friendly treetop nets at Zip World Fforest is a must for thrill seekers.
