The accomodation was very clean and well appointed. There was lots of space for the two of us with a separate dining kitchen and lounge with comfy chairs and a setee. It was nice having a separate boiler/washing machine room as we could store our shoes, coats and suitcase out of the way. On the first night we had no TV and found out, via a text from the owners, that the transmitter mast had caught fire and was out of action. However the owners managed to connect the TV to the internet the next day so we could watch BBC and ITV again and replaced the TV with a "Smart TV" before we left. The owners also recommended places to eat and drink and buy local produce. The Brownlow Arms in Caldwell has an excellent menu and we enjoyed a very good meal there. It is a very quite location surrounded by fields.

The cottage has one double bedroom and a shower room. There is also a kitchen with dining area, utility room and a sitting room. Outside, guests have their own front patio with furniture, and off road parking. With the countryside of the Dales and Moors within easy reach, Rose Cottage is an ideal year-round romantic retreat. Property for adults only, no children under the age of 12.
