We converted Ptarmigan Lodge ourselves, over 20 years ago. While the children were growing up it was a focal part of family life where we spent many happy hours, skiing, cycling and walking. It is a magical place to relax and unwind...nestling in the village of Nethy Bridge, built in the style of a North American Ski Lodge, provides spacious open-plan living and dining. The full-height glass frontage offers superb views down to the Lodge's own private river frontage and the stunning Abernethy forest beyond. The garden features decked areas with outdoor dining, a children’s play area and private access to the river. The hot tub allows you to relax and soak up the peace and tranquility of the forest and listen to the river.

Nethy Bridge is in a fantastic location. You have a local shop just down the road, a bar (with the hotel) a short walk away and plenty of areas to spend lots of time outdoors. We love the fact that you can easily go for a run from the house avoiding main roads and there is cycling, walking and skiing all incredibly close by. If you are the outdoor type then the Cairngorms National Park is the place for you, however it's also perfect for family time with the Highland Wildlife Park close by and plenty of fun to be had with the children.
