17th March 2024, Love Cottage has just had a lovely freshen up, all the paintwork has been painted and equipment refreshed. Love Cottage is a QUIET COUNTRY RETREAT away from the hustle and bustle of life, THERE IS NO INTERNET OR WIFI, LAND LINE and THE TV HAS ONLY LIMITED CHANNELS. If you are looking for piece and quiet, beautiful scenery and wildlife we have it all here. The walking is amazing and straight out of the door. If the weather keeps you in or your muscles are tired from hiking there is a lovely double jacuzzi bath to soak in before a great nights sleep in the huge four poster bed. There is a small terrace with a table n chairs for eating outdoors on sunny mornings or warm evenings surrounded by the wonderful Yorkshire countryside. The cottage is part of a very old barn which is around 450 years old, it is rustic and has old world charm.

Deborah and Nick Sands are Yorkshire born and bred, we live .8 of a mile away at the end of the track that Love Cottage is at the beginning of. We are incredibly lucky to be living in such a beautiful place and really hope our guests have a fantastic time and enjoy it as much as we do.

Love Cottage is surrounded by the most beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside. The area is very safe, very quiet and very very rural. We are 2 miles from the lovely village of Gargrave where there are a couple of good country pubs (dog friendly), a Coop, Post Office, excellent Indian restaurant and Fish and Chip Shop to name a few. The walking around here is spectacular, the Pennine Way is just a couple of fields away. For those who want to explore the area more fully we are just over an hour from the Lake District a similar distance from York. There is so much to do and see or not, just enjoy the peace and quiet.
