## The space Recently decorated this studio apartment is a great place to stay. It has everything you could need to make your stay easy and comfortable . The apartment is on the first floor of a tenement building, there are also stairs up to the main entrance. The lounge has a pull down double bed ( there is space to leave this down ) the lounge also has a sofa ,TV ( freeview) and table and chairs . The separate kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need including a gas hob, oven, fridge, toaster, microwave, utensils dishwasher , washing machine and always most important for me a cafetiere with coffee provided. The bathroom has an electric shower. It's the perfect place for unwinding after a day out, you can cook dinner, have a glass of wine and watch TV, there is Netflix. Or with such a central location easy to pop back and get ready for a night out ! So many restaurants, pubs, theatres and cinemas nearby . ## The neighborhood The Royal Mile is unique in that it has the Castle at the top of it and Holyrood Palace and Arthur's Seat at the bottom. The views from the top of Arthur's Seat are fantastic , worth the challenging walk. For those that like a gentler stroll Princes Street Gardens is 5 minutes walk away, lovely to wander around and look up at the Castle. The Royal Mile has lots of shops , cafes and restaurants and is always bustling . Close by are museums, theatres and cinemas. ## Getting around The benefit of staying in the Old Town is that most destinations are easily reached within walking distance. Edinburgh Airport: From the airport take the Tram or Airlink bus to Princes Street. From here the apartment is a quick taxi ride or 10 minute walk away. Train: The nearest railway station is Edinburgh Waverley. From the station the apartment is a short taxi ride or 10 minute walk away. Buses: Lothian Buses are the main bus operator in Edinburgh. They offer a great free app that provides route maps, fare information and live bus times. It's a great tool for getting around the city.
