This traditional 200 year old stone cottage is situated on the owners' smallholding, with sheep, pigs, hens and ducks, on the edge of Coed-y-Brenin forest. The cottage is situated on a hillside, attached to Maesgwm Barn, between Trawsfynydd and Dolgellau (7 miles). Spectacular views over the Rhinogs and southern Snowdonia mountains. Maesgwm Farm Cottage is full of original character, interesting features and antique furniture. The spacious beamed lounge has multi-fuel stove in the large beamed stone fireplace, TV/DVD, CD system and WiFi. There is a hand-made fitted kitchen diner with a feature stone wall and the adjacent utility room has washing machine, fridge/freezer , dishwasher and door to the rear patio. There is also a ground floor shower room. Upstairs are three bedrooms (king size and two twins) and a spacious bathroom. Oil-fired central heating throughout. The rear gated patio has barbecue and garden furniture. There is also an open grassed area to the front of the cottage and guests are welcome to explore the smallholding, which includes picnic benches around the pond.

This is a wonderfully scenic location, ideal for walking and other outdoor activities, with mountain biking trails virtually from the door. 10 miles to the Mawddach Estuary, 15 miles to sandy beaches and the dramatic coastline from Porthmadog to Barmouth.
