Scandi-inspired woodland lodge in the heart of Lelant Downs, near St Ives. Lowena is a three bedroom, Alpine-style chalet tucked away in a cluster of lodges within an intimate woodland holiday village. Nestled in a hundred acres of Cornish woodland, Lowena is a tranquil sanctuary perfectly situated to explore Cornwall’s stunning coast. This relaxing retreat is now available to book for 2023 and 2024. This woodland ‘upside-down house’ is perfectly designed for hygge get-togethers, owing to its open plan upstairs sitting room with dining area and balcony. Relax on the two large sofas, listening to the birdsong in the trees, or enjoy long lunches together at the long Scandi-style dining table and benches. The three peaceful bedrooms on the ground floor have been carefully decorated to create a boutique Scandi feel, with crisp sheets, premium orthopaedic mattresses and unique art work. Each room is filled with items to spark joy and inspire. Every detail is lovingly chosen by owners Sophie and Alex. There is a newly renovated, stylish bathroom on the ground floor with a walk in shower, toilet, sink and LED glow mirror, and an additional separate W.C along the hall, also newly renovated. There is a small kitchen upstairs adjoined to the sitting room and dining area, which is equipped with cooking utensils and cupboard space. Please note the kitchen is due to be redecorated in autumn 2023, in line with the Scandi style of the rest of the house. The cupboards are a little dated but clean and functional and as seen in listing photos. The appliances themselves were all new in 2022. Please note, due to the woodland setting of the lodge, fibre optic WiFi is not available however our mobile broadband WiFi should be sufficiently strong for basic usage. We hope guests will enjoy the woodland adventures on the doorstep and nearby coastline and the chance to have some screen free time.

Lowena Lodge is approximately a twelve minute drive from the centre of St Ives. St Ives is home to some of the country’s most stunning beaches, The Tate, Barbara Hepworth museum and numerous fish restaurants and wine bars. The Lodge is also only a few miles from Cornwall’s prized Porthleven, Marazion, Mousehole, Gwithian, Zennor and further afield the Lizard and Lands End.
