Very comfortable stay with friendly hosts. Scrupulously clean and bedroom had everything I needed. Fresh cold milk for making tea and coffee in the room was a very thoughtful extra touch. Great breakfast too. Nice quiet location, but only a short walk away from Southport shops and restaurants.

Edendale House is set in Southport. The property is situated a 13-minute walk from Wayfarers Shopping Arcade. Free WiFi is included. At the bed and breakfast, every room is fitted with a wardrobe. Resident owners, Josie and Ian Batchelor would like to welcome you to Edendale House which is situated at the northern end of Southport, in a leafy residential area of wide streets, offering peace and tranquillity; where all the houses were built in the Victorian era. There is a car park for residents. We offer an Over 65's discount when you book direct, please just let us know when you book. Our check in time is from 3pm until 8pm but if you do arrive early we are more than happy for you to leave your car on the car park just let us know you are here as your room may be ready for you. If you are travelling by public transport and you know you will be early, if you let us know in advance we can ensure we are home to greet you. If you are going to arrive after 8pm please do let us know. Checkout is 10.30am. If you can't find availability online it is worth giving us a ring, we can often 'tidy' up other bookings and find a space for you. All rooms have a comfortable seating area to relax after a day out, we have an honesty fridge for soft drinks and snacks to enjoy. For our guests comfort and safety Edendale House and grounds are non smoking. The dining room is delightful...
Whether you are thinking of a first visit to us or you’re a returning guest, Josie & Ian are delighted to be your hosts. A little about us! Josie has over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, working for familiar brands, climbing a varied career ladder and specialising in human resources and health & safety. Ian is an engineer working all over Europe and the UK, and also manages to squeeze in time to project manage our refurbishment programme. Edendale House became our home In July 2017. An exciting move! We love guests from around the world also calling our house “home” - even if just for a short time. We hope to meet you soon Josie & Ian Batchelor
