Kingswear has two fantastic village pubs, cafes, bistro, post office and village shop. Ferries run every 5/10 mins to Dartmouth until late (5 min ferry ride). We have fast fibre broadband and free WiFi throughout. Bedroom One (Double): You can enjoy views of the river without even getting out of bed. The stone tiled en-suite includes a good shower, toilet and basin. Bedroom Two (King): Benefits from a large spacious en-suite with vaulted ceiling which includes a bath, separate shower cubicle, toilet, basin. Off this bathroom is a useful utility room. Upstairs a fully equipped kitchen/diner with seating for 4. The lounge has 2, two-seater sofas and recliner chair, digital HD TV (with Amazon Prime), DVD, music system. All rooms offer spectacular views and outside a small sunny courtyard with table & chairs.

Hello I'm Colin. I've been enjoying the delights of Dartmouth for several years after visiting with friends one New Year. I looked at many houses for over 18 months and fell in love with Chapel House in the Autumn of 2017. I enjoy walking and biking and from Kingswear the coastal and river paths offer fantastic walks to hidden beaches, unspoilt villages, national trust properties and great restaurants and pubs - you'll find you hardly use the car! I'm originally from Kinver in Staffordshire and have been living in Wollaston, West Midlands for the past 13 years. I'm a regular in Kingswear and love the friendly village atmosphere. It's so easy to get to Dartmouth too - a short ferry ride with ferries every 10/15 mins and stunning coastal views. Chapel House is a short walk from the centre of Kingswear up Wood Lane, a short, steep hill. We arrange included parking in the nearby Marina, a short walk away. The Kingswear pubs, café, post office, ferries and train station are a stone's throw away. The steep internal staircase makes it unsuitable for small children (there is a good handrail for everyone else!). Kingswear is easily reached from the M5 and is well connected (several bus routes) to nearby Torbay towns such as Brixham and Torquay. The location for us is perfect, less than a 5 minute walk to the Lower Ferry, The Steam Packet & The Ship, a local bistro, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Seeing the steam train come in and leave is always a welcome sight and watching the Higher Ferry is so mesmerising! Time drifts away with you. Wood Lane is narrow so we suggest using the drop-off zone at the bottom of the lane and park in the nearby Marina, a short walk away. We include parking in the Marina, a short walk away and you can come and go as you wish.
