The award-winning Canal View Bed and Breakfast offers luxurious accommodation in Saxilby, just 15 minutes’ drive and 10 minutes by train from Lincoln. Canal View offers en suite rooms with free on-site parking and WiFi. All rooms are on the first floor and have an en suite shower room, and beds are dressed with fine cotton linens and goose and down duvets. Each room has a Freeview TV, mini-fridge, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. Breakfasts make use of the best local produce, including Lincolnshire bacon and sausages, free range eggs, and jams and preserves made in Lincoln. There is also cereal, fruit, juice, tea and coffee, as well as vegetarian and Coeliac breakfasts. A number of recommended pubs, cafés and coffee shops can be found in and around Saxilby. A visit to historic Lincoln could include seeing the Gothic cathedral, 16th-century Guildhall or Lincoln Castle, dating back to 1068. Saxilby is also close to the Nottinghamshire border, with towns including Retford and Newark-on-Trent around 30 minutes away.
