Located in the heart of the Lake District National Park, in Bowness-on-Windermere, Bracken Crag offers self-catered accommodation with free Wi-Fi throughout. The property is a 7-minute walk from Lake Windermere. The 2-story apartment at Bracken Crag features a lounge with sofas, a TV, a CD/DVD player and books. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area. The bathroom has bath over shower and a there is a separate toilet. Bedrooms are situated on the second floor. Local shops and restaurants can be found after a 3 minutes’ walk from the property. Windermere Rail Station is 5 minutes’ drive away. The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction is a mere 5 minutes’ stroll away. Popular activities in the area include walking, cycling, kayaking and canoeing.

We love staying here ourselves and so have lovingly re-furbished this not so little maisonette to provide you with a home from home for you to stay and enjoy your visit to Bowness and the Lake District. We are sure you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Bracken Crag is a self contained, self catering two story maisonette sleeping 5-6. This large home-from-home property has a full COVID safe clean down system in between stays, carefully carried out by the owners themselves. Boasting a Master bedroom with King Size bed plus a day bed, a second bedroom with a double bed and a small third room offering a single bed, with added benefit of a travel cot, it is the perfect holiday or short break stay for families / friends in the Lakes. The maisonette is set on the first and second floors of a large traditional stone lakeland house and is like a home from home. You will find books, board games, WiFi, Alexa, Nintendo Wii, chrome cast device and a DVD player with a large selection of family films in the lounge. A good sized breakfast kitchen with breakfast table and an additional small dining table in the lounge. The apartment has a separate toilet to the bathroom being an added benefit if visiting with large groups.
