The Bahamas is an Edwardian house that has been extended and has been operating as a guest house since the 1960's. We offer a very friendly, relaxed atmosphere and go out of our way to ensure a fabulous guest experience. The rooms and beds are comfortable and all are en-suite. We offer great value for money. We do have a small sun-trap terrace which guests are welcome to use, and pride ourselves on our cleanliness with all our guests benefiting from a daily housekeeping service at no extra charge. Guests really rate our Full English breakfasts. We are very flexible - just let us know if you'd like any breakfasts and they can be added on an ad-hoc basis if you booked room only. Special occasion whilst you are here? Give us a call before your visit and we can arrange for flowers etc. to be put into rooms ready for your arrival. If you have any specific requirements or preferences - please let us know when you book or give us a call before your visit. We are a non-smoking establishment and do not offer licensed facilities as there are lots of fantastic bars and pubs within walking distance.

The Bahamas offers quality guest accommodation set well back from the road, on a flexible bed-and-breakfast or room only basis, with ample free parking for all hotel guests. Free WiFi is available in all areas of the property. Our Full-English breakfasts are highly rated. We have a daily housekeeping service. The guest house has a great location, just a short, level walk from Torquay’s main beach, Torre Abbey Sands and the main promenade. A further 10-minute walk along the promenade will bring you to the marina and the main shopping area. Closer still are the recently restored Torre Abbey and the English Riviera Center, with its conference, sporting and leisure pool facilities. There are great public transport facilities nearby and there is convenient road access to the amazing Torbay and South Devon beaches and other attractions. These include Cockington Country Park and Craft centre, Living Coasts, the Princess Theatre, Kents Cavern, Babbacombe Model Village and Bygones. In Paignton you will find the Zoo, the pier, and the Geo Gardens. Some fantastic beaches you can explore include Goodrington Sands, Broadsands, &amp; Oddicombe Beach. Set in a beautiful part of Torquay, and in a secluded position with views over the trees towards the lovely Victorian houses in Chelston, The Bahamas is just a few minutes easy walk to the beautiful Torre Abbey, the beach, The Riviera Centre, the Marina and Town Centre. Cockington Hall Craft centre and Country park is just over a mile away. All the local attractions and activities in Torbay can be easily accessed using the nearby Road, Rail and Bus facilities or even the Ferry.
